1. Open up Control
Panel, and type in "UAC" into the search
box. You'll see a link for "Turn User Account
Control (UAC) on or off":

2. On the next screen you should uncheck the box for "Use User Account Control (UAC)", and then click on the OK button.

3. You'll need to reboot your computer before the changes take effect, but you should be all done with annoying prompts.
4. After you installed UC Companion and restart your Windows Vista, Windows Security Alert
button may appear at your lower right hand corner. You can ignore it. But if you click on this button, the following Windows Security Center window will show up. You can turn the User Account Control ON and continue to use UC Companion.

However, if you want to download additional contents/lessons from www.UltimateChinese.com, you will need to go back to step one again before you can download any lessons.
