Topic I - Act 2 相识 Acquaintances

A Chinese name consists of two parts: the surname/ family name and the first/ given name. The surname always comes before the first name. For example in the name 王云 (wáng yún),王 (wáng ) is the surname while 云 (yún) is the first name. Naturally, all Chinese first names have meanings that come along with the characters used, such as 云 (yún) meaning 'cloud'.
