Courtesies - Thanks and Apologies
Chinese people seldom say grateful words such as "thank you" to their intimates or close friends. They only say these words to strangers or to unfamiliar persons. A lot of Chinese people think it is not necessary to verbally express gratitude among friends and relatives. They may even feel that too many grateful words indicate that their relationship is not close or intimate. In addition, Chinese people are introverted and reserved in expressing their feelings. They do not like to express their feelings openly. Instead, they believe others can understand and feel their gratefulness in their hearts introverted.
